La Vall Fosca, located in the Pyrenees, in the north of the Pallars Jussà region, is a suggestive scenario in which water, the mountain, the most varied vegetation and different species of animals harmoniously coexist.
La Vall begins at 800 m and the highest town is Capdella at 1420 meters above sea level and closes the set of 19 rural cores that make up the Vall Fosca: the Pobleta de Bellveí, Estavill, Envall, Antist, Castell-estaó , Beranui, Plana de Mont-ros, Astell, Obeix, Aguiró, Paüls, Pobellà, Mont-ros, Molinos, Torre de Capdella, Aiguabella, Espui and Central de Capdella.
The Flamisell River is the axis of the valley. During this itinerary we will be able to enjoy a constantly changing landscape that will take us to the top of Vall Fosca where there is the cable car that gives access to the Aigüestortes and Estany de Sant Maurici National Park, and where we can visit more than 30 ponds
