Culturals
The architectural heritage is one of the main charms of La Vall Fosca. Its most important witness is the Romanesque church of Sant Vicenç de Capdella (11th century), declared Cultural Heritage of National Interest (BCIN) by the Generalitat de Catalunya (Catalan government), which contains a Romanesque wood carving of the Crucifixion, now exhibited at the National Art Museum of Catalonia, Barcelona. Another outstanding element is the chapel of Sant Martí de la Torre, also declared BCIN by the Catalan government.
Several little churches and chapels spread all over the valley invite you to discover the deepest aspects of the villages as well as the typical high-mountain constructions such as the houses attached to a farmyard.
Local Festivals
Most local festivals of La Vall Fosca take place in summer, such as in Aguiró, Espui, La Pobleta de Bellveí, Paüls, La Plana de Mont-ros, Pobellà, Beranui, etc.
